Thanksgiving Traditions
This past Thanksgiving, many people celebrated.
We surveyed the Banneker students and
asked them about any traditional foods and any activities they do during Thanksgiving.
Most students responded to the survey saying that they eat the usual Thanksgiving food. Baked macaroni, turkey, ham, and stuffing.
Most students at Banneker eat the traditional Thanksgiving food. They either go to a friend or family member’s to have dinner. Some do have cultural foods like jollof rice and meat pies. Some make pear tarts or create a Basque cheesecake.
Many families have thanksgiving traditions like putting up their tree the day after or feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving day.
