The person I interviewed was Tyler Lugo. His mother is Salvadorian. She came to the United States illegally once and was apprehended. She came legally the second time. His father has descendants from Puerto Rico and Guatemala who was born in Washington, D.C. His oldest brother (Brandon) was born in the year 2000, and his middle brother (Dennis) was born in the year 2003. Tyler was born on May 7, 2005, in Washington, DC (at MedStar Hospital).

Tyler’s life philosophy is to never give up because time is of the essence. In his educational journey, he attended Sacred Heart for elementary and middle school, and now he is in his final year at Benjamin Banneker AHS. He is looking for colleges and has applied to all of them, and he is just waiting for a response.

In sacred heart, his best friends included Eggy, the tallest student in the grade, Canfield, and Mark. He has never been in a romantic relationship. His favorite pastimes include sleeping, sports, and socializing with friends. His favorite sports as a child were basketball and football, and he later developed an interest in soccer. He played soccer for Benjamin Banneker’s freshman and senior years. He didn’t listen to music at first, but in middle and high school, he began to develop my musical tastes, and he now enjoys R&B and Rap.

His greatest accomplishment is remaining himself regardless of what happens. As for his advice to people who read about his background, he says to live life to the fullest, but not in a negative way, because what goes around comes around, and whatever you do will come back to haunt you.
