Fall Athletes Push Forward
Fall sports are slowly ending, and our sports teams are looking to improve but also celebrate the accomplishments they made this season.
Banneker’s volleyball team ended the season with a 10-3 record, which made them the third-ranked team on the DCIAA standings. Banneker volleyball games were entertaining this year. Captain Jordan Reid and the crew played great throughout the season.
Banneker’s girls and boys’ soccer teams put up good fights against other schools this season. The girls’ team went 4-4, enough to put them in the playoffs. Although the team lost to Jackson Reed in the first round, the effort is what mattered.
The boy’s soccer team ended the season with a 0-1-6 record in hard-fought battles with top-ranked teams from other schools. Captains Aiden Pierre and Jimmy Argueta helped guide the team throughout the season.
The Cross Country team had one of their best seasons this year, with Myles Jeffers and Prince Green breaking records and earning third place in the championship.
